Elderflower & Ginger Kombucha for the Cold Season
As the temperatures drop and winter settles in, it's the perfect time to give your wellness routine a delicious immune-supporting boost. One of our favourite ways to do this? A warming Elderflower & Ginger Kombucha Second Ferment!
Why Kombucha is a Winter Wellness Superstar
Kombucha is a naturally fermented tea rich in beneficial acids, antioxidants, and probiotics that help support a healthy gut. Since a large portion of the immune system is connected to gut health, keeping your digestive system happy can help your body stay resilient during the colder months.
The real magic happens when you add herbs to your second ferment. Not only do they create beautiful flavours, but they can also bring their own unique wellness benefits to every bubbly sip.
The Winter Dream Team: Elderflower & Ginger
Elderflower
Delicate, floral, and slightly sweet, elderflower has been treasured for generations as a traditional winter wellness herb. It's often enjoyed during cold and flu season and is known for supporting the body's natural defenses.
Ginger
Spicy, warming, and invigorating, ginger is a winter favourite. It may help support healthy digestion, circulation, and overall wellbeing while adding a comforting warmth to your brew.
Together, elderflower and ginger create a beautifully balanced flavour that's floral, lightly sweet, gently spicy, and incredibly soothing on chilly days.

Prefer Tea? That Works Too!
Not a kombucha brewer? No problem! Elderflower and ginger make a wonderful herbal tea too with the same recipe of 1 tea spoon of each in your favorite tea pot.
For an extra winter wellness touch, add a spoonful of honey. Honey brings its own soothing properties and complements the floral-spicy flavour beautifully.
